Add free SSL manually using cpanel
Add free SSL to cpanel is easy if your cpanel has installed let’s encrypt. But when it does not, how to do it?
First, you need to register a free SSL at sslforfree
Then select Manual Verification
Then click to Manually Verify Domain and you will see the instructions
Just follow these steps until you get the zip file which contains private key, certificate and ca bundle
Next, go to Cpanel > SSL/ TLS
And choose the first option, to setup your private key
In there, just upload your private key which you get from sslforfree. If you success doing this, a message shows like this
Now, go back and upload your certificate (CRT). Once you install successfully, a message shows
After that, go back and choose Manage SSL sites in Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS). Choose your domain and select Autofill by Domain
And click to Install Certificate at the bottom. If you install correctly, a message shows
That’s it! Now you have certificate installed for your domain.
